It will be held each Monday at 9:30, 10:15 and 11AM
Registration is required.

Preschool Story Hour with Mrs. Burke beigins September 18th
It is held every Friday at 12:20 nd 1:30PM
Registration is required.

         2009 Statewide Summer Reading Program
          Sponsored by the Mashpee Public Library, the
          Massachusetts Regional Library Systems and
                    Polar Cave Ice Cream Parlor

Beginning in June and throughout the summer, kids can register for thr Summer Reading program at the Mashpee Library or online at www.readsinma.org.

Those who stop by the library will receive a book bag, a book mark and a reading log. Participants in the Summer Reading Program promise to read a minimum of twenty minutes per day, at least five days a week.  Reading books, newspapers, magazines or listening to books on tape all count. You can read yourself, be read to, or read with a partner. Each day you read, record your reading time in your log  or online.  Bring your log (or print out your online reading log) to the library each week to be stamped and receive a small prize.  The first prize will be available June 27th.  Weekly prizes must be claimed the week they are offered! The final prize is a coupon for a free ice cream cone from Polar Cave Ice Cream parlor on Route 28.  Final prize must be picked up by September 12th.

Have your  reading log stamped at the Mashpee Public Library:
                            Monday or Wedneday 9AM to 5PM
                            Tuesday or Thursday, noon to 8PM
                                     Friday noon to 5PM
                                     Saturday 9AM to 1PM

                                    2009 Summer Event

Tuesday, July 14th at 6:30PM Dinoman Space - A thrilling science presentation that will dazzle the whole family.  This will be held at Christ the King Parish Hall.

Monday, July 20th at 10AM to 3PM - 4-H Coastal Explorer, a hands-on mobile marine science exhibit.

Tuesday, July 21st at 6:30Pm - The Elbows, a childrens' rock band that will make you grove, move and play! Outdoor performance on Joy Street.

Tuesday, July 28th at 6:30PM - Montana Mushers - Hear the story of Balto and meet real sled dogs! This program will be held at Christ the King Parish Hall.

Tuesday, August 4th at 6:30PM - Cape Cod African Dance and Drum!
Enjo the traditional dances and rhythms of Africa in traditional costumes. This is an outdoor performance on Joy St.

Thursday, August 13th at 6:30PM - The Grande Finale - Alex, the Jester!
He is outrageous, offbeat and full of surprises.   Don't miss this hilarious show! It will be held at Christ the King Parish Hall.

All summer events are FREE! They are supported by the Friends of the Mashpee Library.
